The "Should I Delegate This?" Filter

Ask These 4 Questions:

1. Is this in my $1000/hour zone?
   • If NO → Delegate
   • If YES → Keep (for now)
2. Do I need to do this to maintain relationships?
   • If YES → Keep
   • If NO → Delegate
3. Can this be systematized with an SOP?
   • If YES → High delegation priority
   • If NO → Medium priority (train first)
4. What's the worst that happens if it's done wrong?
   • Minor mistake → Delegate immediately
   • Major consequence → Train thoroughly first

Delegation Score Matrix

High Delegatable (Do First):

• Recurring tasks
• Clear right/wrong outcomes
• Minimal external relationships
• Time-consuming but straightforward

Medium Delegatable (Do Second):

• Occasional tasks
• Some judgment required
• Internal stakeholders only
• Moderate complexity

Low Delegatable (Keep for Now):

• Strategic decisions
• External relationship building
